New Rolls-Royce Phantom To Mark 100 Years

To mark 100 years of the famed Rolls-Royce Phantom nameplate, the brand has unveiled a truly special edition: the Phantom Centenary Private Collection. Limited to just 25 units, this model elevates the Phantom VIII platform into something exceptionally bespoke and rare.
The Exterior
The Phantom Centenary Private Collection stands out immediately with its unique two-tone finish of Arctic White and Black, complemented by a “Super Champagne Crystal” clear coat containing crushed-glass particles for a subtle, shimmering effect. Every detail has been elevated: the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine is crafted in solid 18-carat gold and plated with 24-carat gold, while the RR badges on the grille and wheel centres are finished in 24-carat gold on white enamel, a first for the marque.
This is not merely a car; it is a collector’s piece designed to reflect Rolls-Royce’s century-long heritage while setting a new standard for bespoke luxury.
The Interior
Inside, the attention to detail is remarkable. The cabin features intricate embroidery, laser-etched marquetry and rich Blackwood veneers with gold leaf inlays. The rear-seat tapestries alone use over 160,000 stitches to depict Phantom’s history and iconic owners through the decades. Each panel tells part of the model’s story, from its debut in 1925 to its enduring position as the ultimate expression of luxury travel.
Even under the bonnet, Rolls-Royce has added centenary touches, including a gold-accented engine cover that reflects the marque’s devotion to craftsmanship in areas unseen as well as those on display.
Exclusivity & British Heritage
Built at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, this limited-run model carries particular significance for UK collectors and enthusiasts. The brand expects demand to far exceed availability, with pricing anticipated to start at an eye-watering £2.5 million. Each car also features a centenary chassis plaque, further reinforcing its historic importance.
Speaking at the unveiling, Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said:
“Phantom has defined the pinnacle of motoring for a century. This centenary collection is a celebration of that legacy - but also a statement of our commitment to craftsmanship, rarity and timeless British luxury. Each car is not just built; it is created with the same care and precision that has defined Rolls-Royce since 1925.”
A Statement Piece for Collectors
While many Phantoms are chauffeur-driven, the Centenary Private Collection is designed as a true heirloom, something to be admired, preserved and enjoyed for generations. It embodies not only the best of Rolls-Royce’s modern bespoke capabilities but also a deep respect for the marque’s historic identity.
For UK buyers and collectors, this isn’t simply another special edition. It’s a piece of living automotive history, celebrating 100 years of Phantom’s unrivalled presence on the road.
The Phantom Centenary Private Collection is a reminder that true luxury lies in craftsmanship, heritage and scarcity. With just 25 cars built, gold detailing throughout and a level of personalisation befitting its status, this model ensures the Phantom enters its second century as strongly as it began its first.
